DESCRIPTION:A Paddle Safety Facilitator is trained to do pre-paddling safet
 y training.  The facilitator goes over everything from how to plan a trip
 \, what to pack\, and how to respond if the unforeseen happens.\n\nThe Ame
 rican Canoe Association Paddlesports Safety Facilitator (PSF) certificatio
 n program teaches basic safety and paddling knowledge\, as well as simple 
 rescue skills for canoe. The training for this certification includes a ba
 se knowledge module (non-craft specific) and a canoe specific module. This
  certification allows the facilitator to introduce paddle craft safety and
  knowledge to the beginner paddler in a land-based setting.\n\nIn order to
  receive official credentialing documentation of this certification\, part
 icipants must have a current individual American Canoe Association members
 hip.\n\nThe cost for this program is $15 per participant (does NOT include
  ACA membership).\n\nThe in-person skills instruction will take place at 
 Whipple Dam State Park on May 22 from 1PM to 6PM at the Lakeside Pavilion 
 near the boat launch on the west side of the lake (on the opposite side fr
 om the swimming beach).\n\nParticipants are required to wear face masks an
