SUMMARY:American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid / AED / CPR
DESCRIPTION:The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates t
 he latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety
  of first aid emergencies such as burns\, cuts\, scrapes\, sudden illnesse
 s\, head\, neck\, back injuries\, heat and cold emergencies and how to res
 pond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age – a
 dults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to
  12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will rec
 eive a certificate for American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CP
 R/AED valid for two years.\n\nThis course will utilize blended learning. P
 articipants must complete the online portion of the course prior to the in
 -person skills instructions.\n\nThe in-person skills instruction will take
  place at Whipple Dam State Park on May 22 from 10AM to noon the Lakeside
  Pavilion near the boat launch on the west side of the lake (on the opposi
 te side from the swimming beach).\n\nCost for this course is $50 per stude
 nt and registration is limited.\n\nThis course will be taught in complianc
 e with the American Red Cross COVID safety protocols.
