DESCRIPTION:Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us at the Boalsburg Fi
 re Company to get an in depth introduction to basic first aid skills. Memb
 ers of the Boalsburg Fire Company will join us for part of the day (barrin
 g an emergency) to provide demonstrations and give a brief talk.\n\nThis p
 rogram will cover\n\n 	Triage\n 	Shock and stroke\n 	Head\, neck\, and spi
 nal injuries\n 	Prevention of outdoor injuries\n 	First aid kits\n 	Basic 
 first aid\n 	Bone and joint injuries\n 	Weather emergencies\n 	How move a 
 victim\n 	CPR/AED\n 	And more\n\nScouts BSA Scouts will earn their First A
 id Merit Badge. Please bring a Blue Card signed by your Unit Leader. The i
 nstructors for this course are Juniata Valley Council approved Merit Badge
  Counselors for the First Aid Merit Badge.\n\nGirl Scout Cadettes\, Senior
 s\, and Ambassadors will complete requirements for the First Aid badge for
  their level (badge not provided).\n\nCost for this event is $14 per parti
 cipating youth if registered prior to Sep 3rd and $18 for late registratio
 ns.\n\nAttendees will need to bring a bagged lunch\,  water bottle\, and 
 any snacks they will need throughout the day.\n\nAdvanced registration is 
 required and all youth must be accompanied by a responsible adult (either 
 parent or troop leadership). If you need to be put in contact with a troop
  from your organization that is attending\, please contact us.\n\nRegistra
 tion is limited to 20 youth.
