DESCRIPTION:Learn to kayak with a 4 hour American Canoe Association Intro t
 o Kayaking course on Sunday\, 20 June from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Bald Eagle St
 ate Park.\n\nThis course is for teens (age 12+) and adults. All minors mus
 t be accompanied by a responsible adult who is also registered for the cou
 rse. Advanced registration is required.\n\nKayaks and lifejackets will be 
 provided.\n\nParticipants can expect to spend time reviewing boating safet
 y including weather\, site\, and personal preparation for paddling.  Part
 icipants will be required to wear a properly fitting\, properly fastened l
 ifejacket at all times while on the water.  Our session will start with s
 ome land-based instruction and boat fitting.\n\nOnce everyone has been fit
 ted into an appropriate kayak we will paddle a short distance from shore\,
  flip our kayaks\, wet exit\, and return briefly to shore.  Once everyone
  is confident in their abilities to get out of their kayaks easily in the 
 event of an accidental flip\, we will work on paddle strokes and maneuvers
 .\n\nParticipants should be in good physical conditioning and will be requ
 ired to sign a liability waiver.\n\n&nbsp\;
