SUMMARY:Wilderness and Remote First Aid
DESCRIPTION:Confident Camper Foundation will be running an American Red Cro
 ss Wilderness First Aid Certification Course Dec 8 - 10 at Camp Anderson.\
 n\nDesigned for scouts and scout leaders\, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone 
 who works or spends time in remote environments\, this course teaches adva
 nced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first re
 sponders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness Fi
 rst Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines\, this course aligns with OSHA
 ’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.\n\nPrerequi
 sites for Wilderness First Aid training include:\n\n 	Students must posses
 s a current CPR/AED certification\n 	Students must be at least 14 years ol
 d by the last day of class*\n\nParticipants will camp overnight at Camp An
 derson and should pack as if they were going on a 2 night backpacking trip
 . Camping is in tents around the Camp Anderson Dining Hall with limited sp
 ace in the dining hall.\n\n*Minors should be accompanied by a responsible 
 adult to stay overnight\n\nThe cost for this course is $85 for WFA only or
  $125 for both WFA and CPR/AED. Meals are not included.\n\nCPR certificati
 on will be run Friday evening with WFA beginning Saturday morning. WFA onl
 y participants are not required to be present for the CPR certification pa
 rt of the course.\n\nDiscounted early registration ($75 for WFA only or $1
 00 for WFA + CPR) for CCF Members is available until Oct 31. Members must 
 be logged in to register during early registration.\n\nRegular registratio
