Empower Today’s Youth to be Tomorrow’s Leaders
Every person is a citizen of their watershed and we will be joining Trout Unlimited at Camp Anderson to learn what that means. By exploring our local waterways, we will have the opportunity to observe them as scientists, anglers, and artists – allowing us to get the complete picture of what our waters mean to us and how we can help protect them.
Knowledge is Power! The hands-on activities are geared toward 11 to 16 year olds and include aquatic bug exploration, stream math, fly tying, fly casting, art and more. No experience is necessary but a strong interest in watershed conservation, outdoors, and scientific inquiry is encouraged.
STREAM Keepers in PA is through a partnership between the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited, PATU Council, and the PA Fish & Boat Commission. Join us for an experience you won’t forget!
Participation is limited to 20 youth. Advanced registration is required.
Overnight Program
- Early registration (ends March 31): $20 per youth
- Regular registration (April 1 – 14): $30 per youth
- Adult Overnight Chaperones: $5
Program fee includes overnight camping at Camp Anderson and the following meals:
- Saturday Dinner
- Sunday Breakfast
Campers are responsible for providing their own tents and overnight gear. Campers can elect to arrive at camp on Friday evening starting at 5PM or Saturday morning.
All overnight youth must be accompanied by chaperones*.
*GSHPA SU 416 is providing chaperones for their attending members. If you are a member of GSHPA SU 416, put a comment on your registration. You will be contacted by the SU chaperones.
Day Only Program
- Early registration (ends March 31): $10 per youth
- Regular registration (April 1 – 14): $15 per youth
- *Adult Day Only Chaperones: no charge
Saturday dinner is included in registration fees. Participants should bring a bagged lunch.
Participants who only want to participate on Saturday can register for a day-only option. The day program will end at sunset.
The STREAM Keepers program will begin on Saturday at 9AM.
*Day only youth do NOT need to be accompanied by a chaperone. If your group is sending chaperones, please register them for the program.
